About

Tru-Go is a small, independent site about the electronics people in India actually buy — phones, laptops, desktops, peripherals and everyday electricals. We compare them, rank them, and say plainly which one we would tell a friend to get.

Nobody pays us to say nice things

This is the part worth being direct about. We do not accept money, free products, or sponsorship from any brand, manufacturer or seller. Not one, anywhere on this site. No brand has ever paid for a placement here, and none can. If a product is ranked first, it is because it earned it.

So when you read that something is worth buying, that is simply what we think. And when we say something is not worth it, we can say so freely — there is no relationship to protect.

How the site actually pays for itself

One way only: Amazon. If you follow one of our Amazon links and end up buying something, Amazon shares a small part of its own margin with us. Your price is exactly the same either way — nothing is added on, and nothing is passed to you.

That commission is the same tiny percentage whichever product you choose, so it gives us no reason to push one over another. Full details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

How we decide

We look at specifications, real-world performance, price-to-value, and how easy the thing is to get serviced outside the big cities — something buying guides written elsewhere tend to forget. Where we have used a product ourselves, we say so. Where we are going on published specs and owner feedback, we say that too.

We also do not quote prices in our guides. They change weekly, and a stale number is worse than none — so we send you to Amazon to see what it costs today.
